This behaviour occurs when the selected attribute has no values assigned in the shop. magnalister reads the existing values of the attribute from the shop and displays them alongside the marketplace values so that a matching (mapping) can be performed. If no values are displayed after selecting an attribute, either the values are missing in the shop or the attribute is not set up globally.
Solution:
- Go to your shop administration (e.g. WooCommerce, Shopware, PrestaShop, Shopify).
- Navigate to the attribute or property management:
- WooCommerce: "Products" → "Attributes" → select the attribute → "Configure terms"
- Shopware 5: "Articles" → "Properties" → click the desired property → add values
- Shopware 6: "Catalogue" → "Properties" → click the desired property → add specification
- PrestaShop: "Catalogue" → "Variants & Features" → "Features" → add new feature values
- Shopify: "Settings" → "Custom data" (metafields) → "Products" → create a metafield definition with predefined values, or define product options with values
- Add the required values to the attribute (e.g. for "Colour": red, blue, green).
- Return to magnalister and select the attribute again.
- The matching table with shop values and marketplace values is now displayed.
Common causes:
- The attribute was newly created, but no values have been defined yet.
- The values were removed or deleted from the attribute.
- A wrong attribute was selected that does not contain any values.
- In WooCommerce: the attribute was only created as a "Custom product attribute" at product level and not as a global attribute with predefined terms.
Note: magnalister can only offer values for matching that are stored as attribute values in the shop system. Product-specific free-text values (e.g. custom attributes in WooCommerce) are not taken into account.
