What are the benefits of the Merchant Order API v2 and why should I switch?

With the major update of the Merchant Order API to version 2, idealo enables its merchants to connect the functionality idealo Direktkauf Payments. Within the scope of the new API version, the following functionalities have been changed or added, among others:

• Authentication with OAuth 2 for more security
• Use of idealo Direktkauf payments and refunds
• Retrieving and processing orders 

After deactivation of the Merchant Order API v1 in the course of the year, idealo order import via magnalister is no longer possible. A changeover is therefore strongly recommended.

Wie kann ich die idealo magnalister Schnittstelle auf die Merchant Order API v2 umstellen?

How can I switch the idealo magnalister interface to the Merchant Order API v2?

1) Update magnalister:

Please update the magnalister plugin first by accessing it in your shopping system and clicking the update button on the top right screen.

Important: Merchants using Shopware or PrestaShop update the latest magnalister version via Shopware or PrestaShop Plugin Manager or download it from our website: https://www.magnalister.com/download
 

2) Save the new "Client ID" and “Client Password” in the magnalister idealo configuration:

To use the new Merchant Order API v2, you will need a “Client ID” and “Client Password” from your idealo business account. You must then store this data in the magnalister idealo interface.

Proceed as follows:

1. Log in to your idealo Business account at https://business.idealo.com/ .
2. Navigate via the main menu to „Direktkauf" -> "Integration" and click on „Neuen API Client erstellen"
   
    
3. On the subpage "Dokumentation & Anbindung" select the option "Neuen Produktiv-Client erstellen". 
   
    
4.  A popup will open and you will be shown the client ID and client password. Copy and save the data. 
   
    
5. Now open the magnalister plugin, navigate via the idealo tab to "Configuration" -> „Login  data" -> "idealo Direktkauf".
   
    
6. Enter the values created in the idealo Business Account under "idealo Direktkauf Client ID" and "idealo Direktkauf Passwort". 
7. Finally, click on „Save“.
